NY Soho, Gallery & Galavanting

On our way to the gallery we did a bit of exploring ...

and grabbed a bite to eat....

Marc and I traveled on our day off together from Brooklyn to Soho to the AFA NYC Animazing Gallery. Marc Specifically wanted to View the

Joe Sorren “Knock Three Times” Exhibition Artwork

I was just along for the ride, then to my surprise i really loved the dream like quality of his work. I was also expecting this gallery to be snobby in the area of town this is located in. We just wanted it with no appointment to view it and they were very nice & friendly toward us and let us view the entire gallery! There is a lot to see an do in Soho but I really enjoyed seeing this exhibition, I highly recommend you go before rush hour or during the week of avoid the tourist crowds.

After we saw the exhibit I had hear about the new LadureĆ© Opening in Soho so I google mapped it and it was a quick walk form this Gallery! it was such a treat and I can't wait to go back for high tea or brunch one day!

My favorite out of the six macaroons I took home with me  was a the "Marie Antoinette" tasted like Baskin Robbin's Mint Chocolate Chip ice-cream :D

NYC subways

Taking the subway every day to work now; it's hard to believe how much rougher, grittier and dirtier the subways used to be. Not they I am saying the are as clean as the PATH but still looking back on these photos it quite an improvement despite the odd smell of piss and random homeless guys you run into, not to mention "show time" I get to catch at least 1once a week when I'm trying to listen to my DVDASA podcast with out catching bedbugs from the person next to me.

Introductions...

Back in Texas
At Central Park after we visited the Guggenheim
From Vanessa: Marc and I Have know each other for going on over 7 years now. Marc and I have both always been very interested in the arts in many aspects. When living San Antonio, Texas we became very involved in our local art community together. Now that were both living in NYC together we hope to do the same here! We are creating this blog to share the Journey with you. From Marc: Welcome to our page. Here you can find documentation and reflections on our cultural finds around the city, along with some projects of our own. When things get rolling we hope introduce content by special contributors and other specialness to enrich your life and inspire you like all good art should. Thanks for visiting and keep in touch.
